3 diverse acts in one night. The Mr Boogie Man Bar presents Brittle Sun, Rogue Element and The Broken Sweethearts, combining a mixture of different genres, styles and flavours while also launching Katie Visser's (from Rogue Element) latest single "Radio Radio" that's currently available on itunes and other online music stores.
Brittle Sun are a Melbourne Roots trio with a female vocalist whose small stature belies a powerful singing voice. They are known for their engaging, incisive live performances and they have grown out of the thriving spoken word scene in Brunswick Victoria.
Rogue Element, a band that pays tribute to the rock legends of the 80s and 90s, are an emerging band known for their raw and energetic round headed up by Katie Visser (vocals), Tom Czako (lead guitar), Chris Bednarski (rhythm guitar), Laurie Sprague (Bass) and Nathaniel Visser (drums).
Inspired by the golden age of Rock n Roll and the songwriting greats of the 80s and 90s, The Broken Sweethearts deliver a dynamic performance of original rock, folk, jazz, swing and funky R&B. They have recently released an EP titled "Picture in my Pocket" and one of their songs 'Hearts on Fire" has just been included in a movie.
